Andy didn't wake up one day and said he wanted to race.  His racing career is not an over night success story. As soon as he was out of diapers he has been a team gopher. He started out working on his fathers car as soon as he could turn a wrench. He is 18 years old and currently attends High school at Portage Central where he plans to graduate in June 2007. He has 2 full years of racing under his belt. His first race was a 100lap 4clydiner enduro. That's wasn't a very good first race he mad 9 laps and found his self in a tangle with some other cars. His first full year racing was in 2005 And Andy had productive first year. He finished 11th in the finial points standings out of 47 cars in the pure stock division at the Kalamazoo speedway. He Earned him self one heat win and a number of top 10 finishes.  That same year he raced in the super shoe nationals for his first time. His dad is a 2 time winner of this race. He didn't make the A feature. But he did make a feature as he qualified pretty well and locked him self in the D Feature and started on the pole. He led a majority of the race on the way to maybe his 1st feature win of 2005 and his career. But with a part failure that was all away in one lap. 2006 Andy made a big jump in to the Late models at Kalamazoo speedway. He started the year out pretty good. But about half way trough the season Andy had some Medical problems with his leg and put his helmet up for the year.
